The party grasped every single moment either on social media or anywhere and grasped it. When BJP’s Parvesh Verma called Kejriwal “terrorist” then he captured that movement in very great manner and used every social media platform to tell his message to every voter by addressing himself as a common man and social activist who is diabetic sit for hunger strike lots of time for national interest and asked people that is the terrorist? AAP used every platform to reach people and tried to create momentum in his favor.

AAP used social engineering in their campaigning by showing themselves in their campaign talking about school, education, hospital and public welfare only. Also, they used each and every way to attract the people as every political rally was live on YouTube, Twitter and all other major social media platforms so they could maximize their reach.

The incident of Amit Shah was also made popular was Amit Shah was saying that he is not able to find out a single CCTV camera in Delhi and AAP tweeted Amit Shah’s photos of the rally where he was saying the same captured from CCTV camera at that place. But the point is not only this the other thing is that many people came to know about Amit Shah’s allegation after watching the video of AAP in which they were showing the photos of CCTV. 

In the end the point is the range and reach it’s not that BJP does not have that reach but the way in which AAP use to spread and use social media market was quite impressive in this campaign.

In Delhi, there is mainly urban population so you can use such major because people use them more frequently and it will cover nearly 80% of the voters whereas if you are going to use same campaign in states like UP, Bihar, etc then it will cover merely 20-30% of the voters so such means can bring fruitful results to them.

The big reason of using social media marketing is that the young generation do not prefer traditional ways of promotions used by political parties they do not feel connected with rallies and other traditional ways and for winning any election you cannot ignore them because they are in considerable number and they are mainly floating votes who are not so rigid because they mainly do not have fix ideology as result of it all political parties try to grab the opportunity and social media marketing is a good way to target this vote bank.

AAP a great as well as experimental party who always come up with new as well as interesting ideas from campaigning to governance as no other party campaign ask for votes from other ideology people in country but Kejriwal in his campaign used with help of video messages also tried to take vote of people from other ideology and every time AAP come with a unique viewpoint on every topic. They said in their campaign that we are not campaigning for ourselves but people of Delhi are campaigning for them. They always try to create a connect with the people of Delhi and try to act like a common man with simple dressing sense and not acting as a politician always help them in their campaign and always help them in winning elections
